When she isn't busy dancing with the Daughters of Rhea, or as half of Indra Lazul with her partner Leyla Fahada, Zaira al Zahara is a talented and nuanced soloist, accomplished with veil, wings, sword, cane, zils, floorwork, and percussive
drum solos. Playful and sassy, her solo performances reflect Egyptian, American Cabaret,
and Tribal Fusion influences. In addition to taking workshops from coast to coast, Zaira teaches at Kinetics Dance Theatre in Ellicott City, MD. Since she is a PiperMethodTM Level II certified dancer, you can be sure she's got style AND technique!
Zaira's Spring Session of Beginner 1 & 2 Bellydance at 7:30 pm & 8:30pm starts on Wednesday April 15th, 2009. It
is a short 6-week session.
The class is at Kinetics Dance Theatre in Ellicott City, but you sign up through
Howard County Park and Recreation, not directly through the dance school. See
